Privacy Policy

Smart Teleprompter is made by RxLab. This policy explains how the app and this website handle information.

Scripts and preferences

The app stores your scripts, reading position, and text size locally on your device. It does not upload your script library to an RxLab server. Device backups may include app data, depending on your Apple settings. Delete scripts in the library to remove them from the app; previously created backups are managed separately through Apple.

Microphone and speech recognition

“Follow my voice” requests microphone and speech recognition permission. Live audio is used to align your speech with the script. The app prefers Apple’s on-device recognition when supported, but may use Apple’s servers if on-device recognition is unavailable or repeatedly fails. Audio may therefore be sent to Apple for processing. See Apple’s speech recognition privacy information.

The app does not save audio recordings or a transcript history. Recognition text is processed temporarily to update your reading position. Diagnostic messages can include recognition text in device logs. RxLab does not automatically upload these logs. Review diagnostic files before sharing them for support.

Your choices

Voice following stops when you stop it or leave presentation mode. You can revoke microphone or speech recognition permission in system Settings and continue editing and reading scripts manually.

Files and integrations

When you import a text or Markdown file, its text is copied into your local script library. Notion import is currently disabled in the app. This policy will be updated before enabling an integration that changes how information is handled.

Website and support

This website does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Its hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as IP addresses, browser details, and request times, to deliver and secure the site. If you contact support, the information you send is used to respond and resolve your request. Avoid sending confidential scripts or recordings unless necessary.

Sharing and retention

RxLab does not sell personal information or use the app for advertising tracking. Local scripts remain until you delete them or remove the app, subject to device backups. Support correspondence is kept only as needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations. Apple’s processing is governed by Apple’s policies.

Requests and updates

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information held by RxLab. Contact us to make a request. We may revise this policy as the app changes and will update the effective date here.
